Dave Aftandilian I agree with Ippocalyptica: very sorry to see this project ending (for now). I have always been impressed with the depth of emotion Joseph pours into Cepheide, and this release is no exception. The first track builds an almost unbearable tension, tinged with melancholy. The second expresses a sort of churning intricacy, representing the elaborate prisons we each construct for ourselves in our minds, and how it feels to whirl around endlessly looking for an exit that does not exist.

Ippocalyptica The tragic irony here is that Consequences serves as the final Cepheide album for an indeterminate period and yet every aspect of it - songwriting, musicianship, production, and especially intensity - suggests that Joseph is moving from strength to strength, remains full of passion, and has so much more to offer in the realm of black metal. I hope to hear more of Cepheide when the time is right, but until then, Consequences is outstanding! Favorite track: II..

This album is thought of as an interlude, a sigh for CEPHEIDE, before putting the project on hold.

So I wanted to return to the sound and the rawer influences of the start of the project, like a live recording, without synths, without artifice, without mastering, in order to return to a more intimate relationship with the music.

Everything was recorded in Paris in 1 week with my friend Hugo Beauzée-Luyssen who was there for SAUDADE.
